Story: At the 1st World Congress Against Enforced Disappearance in Geneva on January 15–16, 2025, The Gambia announced its commitment to adopt legislation criminalizing enforced disappearances by March 2026. This pledge aims to strengthen the country's human rights framework and align with international standards.
