Story: It is a feature story that tells the inspiring journey of Sainey S. M’Boge, a former football star who transitioned into a key figure in football administration. It traces her journey from Abuko where she defied cultural and religious challenges to play football and eventually representing The Gambia at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2012 then later becoming the first Gambian woman to serve as Chef de Mission at a continental games. Today, as a Player Care Officer in Denmark, Sainey continues to inspire girls across Africa through her leadership, advocacy and mentorship. Through her advocacy, she motivates so many girls to play football and not only football but to also focus on education. Her Academy is producing brilliant female footballers in Abuko and it’s surrounding.
