Traditionally, these women harvested wild oysters from the mangrove swamps, which was dangerous, physically demanding, and harmful to the mangrove ecosystem.The story highlights how this simple but powerful solution is improving women’s livelihoods, preserving biodiversity, and promoting environmental stewardship all while giving women more control over their income and future.
