Story: This is an investigation into a UK-registered charity which was established in The Gambia in 2021. It was registered by a con artist who was using the story of a Gambia child, born to a father stuck on his way to Europe, to raise funds only a tiny fraction of which gets to the child and her mother. The con started with a fake child, and then they found a suitable candidate to play the role for the fake child, who barely got anything from the arrangement.
