This story sheds light on one such woman, Haddy Jatta, the University of The Gambia’s longest-serving cleaner, who gave 25 years of her life to the institution. What began as a class project grew into a movement: raising awareness, mobilizing support, and providing Haddy with a proper bed, a small business, and financial stability for her retirement.
