Famara Badjie is a reporter, anchor, and commentator at the Gambia Radio and TelevisionServices where he has been  working since 2018.

The multitalented journalist started his career as a freelance sports reporter and commentator at Gunjur Radio in 2013.

He also worked briefly with The AlkambaTimes and Gunjuronline as a reporter. At GRTS, he reports on a range of issues including economics, security, migration, sports, agriculture, environment, and politics among others.

He covers major national and international events, including presidential, legislative, and local government elections. 2021 Turkey-Africa Summit in Istanbul, 2022 Scorpions training camp, and friendly game against Guinea Bissau in Turkey, among others.

In 2022, he was awarded by IOM as the most outstanding migration reporter for the television category in the IOM Migration Reporting Competition for Gambian journalists.

Famara Badjie holds an Advanced Diploma in Journalism from the Media Academy for Journalism and Communications.
