Biography: 

My name is Lenisa Gomez, and a 23-year-old. I am a first-year student at the University of the Gambia, School of Journalism. 

I hold a Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma in Journalism and Communication from the Media Academy for Journalism and Communication MAJaC. 

After my course, I did a three-month internship at MAJaC radio, where I gather experience in media work, including news reporting and presenting. It is an honored to be part of the National Journalism Awards for the first time. This has showed that I am making impact in the lives of people.
